Poolside Pros was a rebranding name for the retail company located at 1928 E. Riverside Blvd. The owners Gary Peterson and Anthony Arco are the same and have been for 35 years. Our goal is to provide the best products and services in the industry at the lowest prices.
A Message from Staci Peterson
In 1980, when my father and his business partner decided to install their first in-ground swimming pool, I was 7 years old. It quickly turned into a thriving business and at an early age I began working to help our customers. I may have not had a choice then, but it didn’t take long to realize I loved this business and the customer’s that came along with it.
As I entered my teenage years, I began to take a deep interest in working with our customer’s and their pool water. It was fun and very challenging, but most of all, very rewarding. The customer’s really appreciated the help! They loved me when I could clear their pool water after they had struggled with it. I felt like a rock star in the swimming pool chemistry field. Our retail began to flourish. Of course the economy back then was good, but our customer service was even better! I would stand at our test center 10 plus hours per day, flooded with over 100 water samples or more. Some days I could hardly breathe, but it was my passion. Water tests were done all by hand back then, drop tests and handheld colorimeters and each test took 10-15 min, much different than it is now! I took pride in knowing every customer by name and their kids by name. I knew when their pool parties were and I was invited to most of them. That was the way business was done, and in my opinion, still should be!
We partnered up with BioGuard brand chemicals approximately 26 years ago, and it has been one of the best business decisions we have made. They were the industries “TOP DOG” and we still choose to carry BioGuard to this very day. We love their products and the people that stand behind them. I am a firm believer in high quality products. We carry several brands of top quality products, each product representing superior quality and standards. I have studied pool chemicals and their manufacturing processes for years, believe me, you really do get what you pay for in this industry.
